First Encounter...

Allison Norris-Austin, Ellen Burr, and  Giovanni Mocibob met in a sitcom class at Scott Sedita Studio. An immediate chemistry, and love of gin martinis, was discovered. Ellen started writing short character studies to learn more about the different characters of comedy. The studies turned into scenes and short films. She asked Allison to read some to get feedback on her writing. Allison fell in love with the female lead, Rachel of “Loves Me Loves Me Not” and thought of Giovanni for her date. Before they gathered their colleagues and site permission of The Garden Café, the writer and two actors “work-shopped” the script. They were a great three-some Ellen had a flair for timing, Allison and Gio both had a flair for physical comedy. They tightened up the writing, embraced their characters’ quirks and worked on lines over zoom. When it was time to shoot, they all got their Covid tests and filmed in November 2020. It is with pride and joy that they present their first film “Loves Me, Loves Me Not.”

“I want to see these two fall in love only so I can see a full-length feature where they drive each other completely insane. The writing and acting are first rate and I thank the filmmakers for showing me what I am missing with online dating. I will stick with marriage a little while longer."
