As the world shuts down due to Covid 19, Sue tries her hand at a zoom lunch date with her best friend Ann. What's worse? A virus or getting Sue to understand how the internet works...
Ellen found herself stuck inside and stir crazy. So what else was she to do except to write. QQ was a product of Covid and it hit home with her trying to find connection with friends and family. The internet was her only source of entertainment and she doesn't have a tv. What does that tell you? Allison wanted to step into directing as an assistant director and started workshopping the script with Ellen and Sandie via zoom to find as many comedic moments as she could. Allison continued trying to pull the writer brain out of Ellen and just let her play. Ellen worked really hard and it paid off and found that she could really live in Sue's world quiet easily. Sandie's straight woman act was like taking candy from a baby. With all that in tacked, we enlisted Tony Rago, the king of teachers, coaches and directors from our sitcom class to direct. We got to work putting this together and it was truly a fun project. QQ was a family and friends kind of endeavor because we couldn't not have done it without our talented Giovanni Mocibob as DP and editor and our location host's Frank and Laura McKernan.

He's really a great guy. Just ask his wife and son.

She is a mother and wife and not to mention a fur Momma to her doggy Faith and a new proud Momma to Lucky her horse that was given to her by her wonderful husband. She has been placing herself in all kinds of roles and Ann just seem to be the yin to Sue's yang.
Sue and Ann, childhood best friends who are complete opposites, buy each others' holiday presents, leading to a comedic remembrance of why Sue cannot make decisions.
As we finished wrapping up Loves Me, Loves Me Not and finalizing our film freeway journey, when we got introduced to Ursula Rudorfer to collaborate a screening night for our shorts. It just seemed to be kismet that our paths crossed. Fast forward a year later and we start our third project and one of the six episodes of Sue in the City. With the help of both of our teams, we were able to bring Ellen's creative magic of Bookstore Bind to life. As we build our archive of talent both in front and behind the camera, we are excited to be apart of the film community. Being able to work with Denis Maloney an extraordinary DP was a treasure and an exciting experience. It takes a village to bring together even a short story that will captivate an audience.
Ursula Rudorfer is an up-and-coming filmmaker with three award-winning films under her belt. Her newest film, "The Visitor", a tale of loneliness and the dangerous lengths we go to for connection, is on the festival circuit and getting rave reviews! In "Sue & Ann: Bookstore Bind” she takes aim at her first comedy short!
Denis Maloney has worked on more than thirty feature films, most notably the twice Oscar-nominated drama, "The Contender" , starring Jeff Bridges, Joan Allen and Gary Oldman, plus David Mamet’s "Edmond", starring William H. Macy and Julia Stiles.
He recently completed the thriller "Repentance" with Oscar Winner, Forest Whitaker. Maloney’s television work includes Showtime’s acclaimed documentary "20th Century: The Pursuit of Happiness", directed by Robert Zemeckis, plus network movies for NBC, ABC, Fox and Disney. Mr. Maloney is a member of the American Society of Cinematographers.
